The use of Transom Huck Fasteners to secure transoms to a steel rail bridge in conjunction with Dog Screw Fasteners to secure the rail to the
transoms offers the asset owner a real maintenance free solution for years to come.
Transom Huck fasteners are fitted with a heavy spring to permit the transom to season and shrink over time with no loss of clamping force to the
steel girder and thus the costly function of retensioning conventional bolts and nuts is eliminated.
Dog Screws are rattled in by impact gun into a 17mm predrilled hole to provide a high capacity rail fastener that does not require retensioning
and permits longitudinal movement during expansion and contraction cycles.
